CONFESSION OF FAITH

  1. 1. The Bible is the inspired word of God. (2 Tim 3:16-17; Proverbs 30:5-6) ; Revelations 22:18-19.
  2. 2. The Trinity, God in three persons: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Cor 13:13; Matt 28:19-20.
  3. 3. At the birth of Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, of the Virgin Mary, in his death, in His bodily resurrection and his return Esa 7:14, Matt 1:18-25, Rom 1:4, 1 Cor 15:3 – 4.
  4. 4. Since the fall, all men are totally depraved, sinful and guilty, and became subject to the wrath and condemnation of God. Ps 51:5, Job 14:4, Rom 3:23; 5:12-17 Eph 2:1-3.

Justification (or Regeneration) is an act of God’s grace whereby one receives forgiveness and remission of sins and is considered righteous before God through faith in the atoning blood of Jesus, and presents himself before God as if he had never sinned.Ps 32:1-2, Isaiah 1:18, Mich. 7:19, Jn 3:3-8, Acts 13:38-39, Rom 3:24-30, Rom 4:6-16, 5:1-2 , 2 Cor 5:17-21, Gal 2:16 Eph 2:8-9, Tit 3:5, 1 Peter 1:23.
  8. 8. the baptism of water essential to express our obedience after reconciliation with God. The baptism is an immersion “In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit” as Jesus commanded. Matt 28:19; 3:13-17, Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:38-39, 19:1-6, Rom 6:4-5.
  9. 9. The Lord’s Supper was instituted by Jesus Christ for believers (all members of the family of God) to participate regularly to “proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” Matt 26:26, Luke 22:17-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-30.
  10. 10. the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the coming down of power on the believer. Matt 3:11, Acts 1:8, Luke 3:16, 24:49, Jn 1:30-33; Jn7 :37-39, 14:16-17, 26; 15:26; 16:12-15; Act 1:5-8; March 16:17; Act 2:1-18, 10:44-46, 7:16.
  11. 11. Evangelism is a ministry that God has created and that is given to every believer. Jesus commanded and God requires every believer to be compassionate soul winners, bearing fruits and bringing others to Christ. Matt 28:19-20; March 16:15; Lu 24:46-49, Jn 5:18 p.m., Acts 1:8, 8:1-4, Ps 126:4-6, Prov 11:30; Dan 12: 3, Ezekiel 3:17-21.
  12. 12. Marriage is a lifetime union. Monogamy is uniformly taught by the Bible. Polygamy is contrary to the perfect will and institution of God. The Bible forbids believers to marry a non-believer and vice versa Deut 7:1-4, 2 Cor 6:14-18, Prov 31:10-31; Mal 2:14-15, Rom 7:2-3; Phe 5:31,33; Matt 5:31-32, 19:3-9, 10:2-12 March, Lu 16:18; Jn 4:15-19; Gen 20:3-7.
